Thompson House is a small, nonprofit, mission-driven skilled nursing and rehabilitation center proudly serving Brattleboro and the surrounding communities. We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Housekeeper to join our team on a per diem, weekends-only basis.
Our housekeeping team plays an essential role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, enjoys being part of a team, and understands the importance of providing exceptional service in a healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, offices, and other assigned spaces
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, disinfect, and polish surfaces according to established standards
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for residents and staff
- Replenish paper products, soaps, and other housekeeping supplies
- Inspect assigned areas to ensure quality standards are met
- Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or damaged equipment to the appropriate supervisor
- Follow infection prevention procedures and all health and safety regulations
- Work cooperatively with residents, visitors, and fellow team members while maintaining a positive and professional attitude
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality standards
- Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented
- Friendly, respectful, and customer-service focused
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and coworkers
- Ability to lift, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
