Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide (HHA) to provide personalized care and support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will assist patients with daily living activities, offer emotional support, and ensure their comfort and safety. Key Responsibilities:
- Personal Care: Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Mobility Assistance: Help patients with mobility, including transferring and positioning in bed or a wheelchair.
- Medication Support: Administer prescribed medications and monitor patients for any adverse effects, following care plans and instructions.
- Household Tasks: Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and grocery shopping to maintain a safe and comfortable environment.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship, engaging patients in conversation and activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Health Monitoring: Observe and report any changes in patients' health conditions or behaviors to healthcare professionals and family members.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of care provided, including daily notes and any incidents or changes in patient status.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Home Health Aide (HHA) certification
- Experience: Previous experience as a Home Health Aide, caregiver, or in a similar role is preferred but not necessary.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and transfer patients, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks associated with patient care.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in patients’ homes, which may involve traveling to multiple locations.
- Flexible hours may be required based on patient needs.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Preferred)
- HHA certification (Preferred)
