NEUMAN & ESSER-Stasskol-USA-Katy, TX is seeking for an additional Manual Machinist (Dayshift: 6am-2:30pm) to perform the following essential job duties and responsibilities:
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to set up and operate manual machine tools; Preferably HBMs, VTLs and engine lathes.
- Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job.
- Knowledge of repair machining operations for reciprocating compressors components.
- Ability to machine compressor components while maintaining tolerances of <.001”
- Proficient reading and interpretation of manufacturing drawings and repair standards for reciprocating compressor components in both metric and imperial dimensions.
- Ability to create a clear and precise written description of component conditions and dimensional readings.
- Proficient use of precision measuring instruments during the inspection of critical dimensions.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years experiences with operating Manual Lathes, Horizontal & Vertical Boring Mills and Vertical Turret Lathes.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience working in a repair machine shop environment.
- Strong familiarization with all common industry safety practices, environmental requirements and manufacturing procedures.
- Familiarization with industry Lean Manufacturing and 5S practices and procedures.
- Willingness and ability to work extended hours including weekends and holidays if required.
- Must understand materials, cutting tools, speed and feeds, coolant requirements and machining techniques.
- English, verbal, reading and written form.
- Various other machine shop tools.
