Job Summary
The Site Manager leads the daily operations of a designated site, ensuring the delivery of high-quality youth development programs. This role is responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment, supervising staff and volunteers, and maintaining alignment with organizational standards, policies, and goals.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Program Management

Design and lead daily program activities that reflect the mission and goals of the Boys & Girls Club.

Foster member engagement through a variety of age-appropriate, enriching experiences.

Provide strong, consistent leadership to promote a safe environment, positive behavior, and skill-building opportunities.

Continuously assess and refine programs to meet the evolving needs of members, ensuring inclusivity across cultures and genders.
Health & Safety
-
Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment that supports positive youth development.

Train and guide staff to consistently follow established safety procedures and protocols.

Monitor and manage members’ medical needs, including administering medication when necessary.
Staff Supervision

Provide direct supervision and ongoing support to program staff and volunteers.

Delegate responsibilities, monitor performance, deliver constructive feedback, and conduct regular evaluations.

Identify professional development needs and facilitate training opportunities to enhance staff growth and effectiveness.
Financial & Administrative Oversight

Manage site budget and control expenditures.

Ensure timely collection of program fees and accurate bookkeeping.

Complete weekly, monthly, and grant-related reports on time.
Community & Member Engagement

Promote site membership and represent the organization professionally.

Communicate effectively with parents, school personnel, and community partners.

Address and resolve issues involving members, staff, or families using the organization’s guidance and discipline plan.
Special Events & Projects

Plan and oversee special programs, field trips, and events.

Participate in organization-wide initiatives and inter-club activities.
Additional Responsibilities
-
Assist with staff recruitment and participate in interviews.

Collaborate with other Boys & Girls Clubs in Central MN.

Attend monthly staff meetings and professional development sessions.

Maintain current CPR and First Aid certification.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
-
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience and/or training.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
-
Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Effective group leadership and understanding of group dynamics.
-
Strong organizational and project management skills.
-
Broad knowledge of youth development program areas.

Must have reliable transportation and ability to travel between sites in Central MN (St. Cloud, Sartell, Sauk Rapids, Clear Lake, St. Joseph, Little Falls).

Must meet vehicle operation requirements as defined by the organization’s insurer.

Ability to pass a Department of Human Services background check
Fundamental Relationships
Maintains close daily contact with Club staff, Club members, and supervisor to receive/provide information. Engages with members to support behavior management and development. Maintains contact with external community groups, schools, parents/guardians, and others to provide a positive Club experience.
