Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and friendly Cashier to join our vibrant coffee shop team! In this role, you will be the welcoming face of our establishment, providing excellent customer service while efficiently handling retail transactions. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly as they enter the coffee shop, creating a positive and engaging environment
- Accurately process sales transactions using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems, including cash handling and credit card payments
- Prepare non-alcoholic beverages such as coffee, tea, and specialty drinks with precision and care
- Maintain cleanliness of the cashier station, dining area, and beverage prep zones to ensure food safety standards are met
- Assist with food handling and basic food preparation tasks as needed to support the team
- Manage retail sales transactions efficiently while ensuring accuracy in cash register operations and math calculations
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about menu items, recommending beverages, and serving with a friendly attitude
Skills
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly preferred
- Strong background in retail sales transactions, cashiering, and cash handling skills
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures in a café environment
- Barista experience or coffee industry knowledge to assist in beverage preparation and serving
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash register operations and retail math calculations
- Time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently while maintaining quality service
