Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Toast
- Upsell menu items including cocktails, wines, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and sales
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Handle cash transactions accurately, process sales using POS systems, and manage cash handling responsibilities
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by adhering to proper food handling procedures
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff as needed to ensure seamless service
- Use reservation management tools like OpenTable to coordinate seating and optimize guest flow
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine, spirits, and menu options to elevate the dining experience
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally
Requirements
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting, preferably with fine dining exposure
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and cashiering procedures
- Culinary experience or food industry background is highly desirable
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability in upselling beverages such as cocktails, spirits, and wine to increase sales opportunities
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation standards required for food handling roles
- Experience with OpenTable or similar reservation platforms is a plus
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash registers
