Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including recording vital signs and updating electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) accurately.
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are ready for procedures such as X-ray, phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic life support (BLS).
- Perform clinical tasks including phlebotomy, administering medications under supervision, collecting specimens, and monitoring patient physiology during visits.
- Support patient service activities by answering questions, providing education on treatments or medications, and ensuring a positive patient experience.
- Manage medical administrative support functions such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, ICD coding for diagnoses, and maintaining organized medical records.
- Assist in hospital environments with inpatient care duties like vital sign monitoring in settings such as ICU (Intensive Care Unit), PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or Geriatrics units.
- Collaborate seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams in outpatient clinics or Level I/II trauma centers to deliver comprehensive care aligned with hospital protocols.
Experience
- Prior experience working in dermatology, urgent care, emergency medicine, or hospital medicine is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR/EHR systems) and Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EMR systems).
- Hands-on experience with phlebotomy, X-ray procedures, medication administration, and vital signs collection.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, ICD coding standards, and hospital protocols.
- Experience working in inpatient settings such as Level I Trauma Centers or PICU environments is advantageous.
- Background in outpatient clinics or medical-surgical units enhances the ability to adapt quickly to diverse clinical scenarios.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications like EKG training or radiology experience are a plus.

Pay: $23.46 - $25.00 per hour
