Job Title: Machine Operator (Sheet Cutting)
Pay Rate: $17–$18/hour
Schedule:
- Monday–Thursday: 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM
- Friday: 6:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Personnel Placement is seeking reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operators for a manufacturing/warehouse environment. This role is responsible for operating sheet cutting machinery, ensuring accurate measurements, and maintaining quality standards in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate sheet cutting machines safely and efficiently
- Measure and cut materials according to specifications
- Accurately read a tape measure down to 1/16 of an inch
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality and precision
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Requirements:
- Previous machine operating or manufacturing experience preferred
- Must be able to read a tape measure to 1/16” accurately (required)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Reliable transportation and strong attendance record
- Ability to work in a warehouse/manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in metal fabrication or sheet cutting
- Familiarity with industrial machinery and tools
Work Environment:
- Warehouse setting with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures
- Safety equipment may be required (PPE provided as applicable)
