Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager to oversee daily operations within a vibrant food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong servant leadership skills, great coaching abilty, extensive and extreme personal hospitality, and a comprehensive understanding of food safety, kitchen operations, and customer service commitment. This role requires a proactive approach to staff supervision and development, inventory control, and ensuring and curating exceptional dining experiences. The Manager will be responsible for maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and team development to foster a progressive, empowering and positive work environment and ensure customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Lead and supervise restaurant staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations to promote a cohesive team.
- Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality control.
- Manage daily restaurant operations including shift management, facility cleanliness, customer service delivery, and ensuring smooth kitchen workflows.
- Utilize POS systems such as Spot On POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reporting. Develop expertise with Open Table Reservations.
- Control inventory levels through effective stock management and ordering to minimize waste and optimize food costs.
- Implement food safety protocols in compliance with health regulations and industry best practices.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff on food production, menu adjustments, and catering or banquet services as needed.
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints professionally to maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Conduct staff training sessions on food handling, service standards, and operational procedures.
- Assist in budgeting activities and monitor financial performance related to food costs and labor expenses.
- Support event planning such as banquets or special catering functions when required.
Requirements
- Proven management experience within the food industry, particularly in quick service & fast food restaurants or fine dining establishments.
- Strong background in food preparation, culinary techniques, and kitchen management.
- Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling expertise essential.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in supervising teams, training staff, and conducting interviews.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations; experience in hospitality or restaurant management preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Previous experience in inventory control, budgeting, and food service management is highly desirable.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a professional demeanor capable of handling diverse clientele.
- Ability to work under pressure during busy hours while maintaining attention to detail. Pay: $78,000.00 - $82,000.00 per year
