We are seeking an experienced Polysomnographic Technologist to provide overnight sleep study services for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. The ideal candidate will have recent experience performing and monitoring sleep studies, recognizing sleep-related abnormalities, and accurately documenting polysomnographic data.

- Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights
- Travel: Travel candidates only
- Radius Requirement: Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the assignment
- Prior Travel Experience: Required
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Polysomnographic/Sleep Disorder experience required
- At least 1 year of experience performing sleep studies
- AHA BLS required
- Current and unrestricted RPSGT certification/registration through BRPT required
- Strong knowledge of:
- Sleep disorders
- Sleep activity and abnormalities
- Movement-related arousals
- Respiratory patterns
- Polysomnographic monitoring
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts
- Previous travel experience required
Responsibilities
- Prepare adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients for diagnostic sleep studies
- Prepare, inspect, and calibrate polysomnographic equipment before testing
- Apply appropriate sensors and monitoring equipment according to established protocols
- Perform and monitor overnight polysomnographic studies
- Continuously observe and document sleep activity, respiratory patterns, movements, arousals, and other relevant physiological changes
- Recognize abnormal findings and appropriately respond according to established protocols
- Troubleshoot equipment and resolve technical issues during sleep studies
- Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout overnight testing
- Provide clear instructions and education to patients regarding the sleep-study process
- Accurately document testing procedures, observations, interventions, and patient responses
- Maintain accurate and complete sleep-study records according to department policies
- Communicate significant findings or patient concerns to the appropriate healthcare provider
- Follow infection-control, patient-safety, and sleep-lab protocols
- Clean, disinfect, and maintain equipment between studies
- Work collaboratively with physicians and other members of the sleep medicine team
Pay: $1,700.00 - $2,000.00 per week
