SPCC Transportation Coordinator
Position Summary:
The SPCC Transportation Coordinator is responsible for coordinating daily transportation operations for children and program participants. This position manages transportation schedules, pickup and drop-off activities, communicates with managers and program staff, utilizes transportation software and radio communication equipment, and ensures safe, efficient transportation services. The Transportation Coordinator is a self-starter who works independently at off-site locations while maintaining consistent communication with the operations team. This position will report to the Dispatch Manager.
Essential Job Functions:
· Manage and coordinate hourly transportation schedules, arrivals, departures.
· Coordinate pickup and drop-off responsibilities for children and program participants
· Communicate effectively with managers, supervisors, drivers, families, and program staff
· Monitor transportation activities and communicate as needed to meet operational demands
· Utilize transportation management software to view and track transportation information
· Operate radio communication equipment and other communication tools to support daily operations
· Monitor participant attendance and ensure accurate transportation records are maintained
· Respond professionally to transportation issues, schedule changes, and service concerns
· Ensure safe transportation practices and compliance with organizational policies and procedures
· Work independently in off-site locations while maintaining regular communication with management
· Provide excellent customer service to children, families, and community partners
· All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
· Experience managing, supervising, or working with children required
· Day Camp Counselor, transportation dispatcher, or related experience preferred
· Experience coordinating schedules, activities, or transportation services preferred
· Computer skills, including experience with Micro-soft office programs or remote learning systems desired.
· Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative as a self-starter
· Ability to work in an off-site (non-remote) environment
· Valid driver license required

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
