Position Summary:
Bonesteel is seeking an experienced Wine & Spirits Specialist who is passionate about delivering excellent customer service and knowledgeable recommendations. The ideal candidate has a background in wine, spirits, or retail sales and is confident engaging with customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a welcoming, personalized shopping experience for all customers
- Recommend wines and spirits based on taste, occasion, and budget
- Share strong product knowledge and educate customers when needed
- Maintain organized, fully stocked, and visually appealing displays
- Assist with inventory management and restocking
- Accurately handle transactions using the POS system
- Stay up to date on new products, trends, and promotions
- Ensure compliance with all alcohol sales laws and ID verification
Required Experience:
- Minimum 1–2 years experience in wine & spirits, bar, or hospitality industry
- Proven customer service experience
- Basic knowledge of wines, varietals, and/or spirits
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Sales-oriented mindset with attention to detail
- Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
