Responsibilities
- Deliver professional hair styling, haircutting, coloring, and grooming services tailored to each client’s preferences and hair type
- Perform specialized services such as hair extensions, eyelash extensions, nail care, and makeup application to enhance client satisfaction
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas following industry regulations
- Utilize salon software systems like MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client records, and retail sales transactions
- Provide exceptional customer service by listening to client needs, offering styling advice, and upselling retail products such as hair care and styling tools
- Manage front desk duties including greeting clients, booking appointments, and handling payments with retail math accuracy
- Mentor junior team members and assist in store management tasks to foster a collaborative environment
Requirements
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license with proven experience in hair styling and grooming techniques
- Proficiency in advanced skills including hair extensions, color theory, straight razor shaving, hair threading, eyelash extensions, and makeup application
- Knowledge of salon software systems such as MINDBODY for scheduling and retail management
- Strong communication skills to connect effectively with diverse clients and team members
- Ability to perform sanitation procedures diligently to ensure a safe salon environment
- Experience in retail sales, upselling techniques, and retail math to maximize revenue opportunities
- Familiarity with store management practices and front desk operations is a plus
- Passion for ongoing learning in current trends like nail care and new styling methods
