About Us
Texan Builders is a Houston-based real estate development and construction company specializing in high-quality single-family spec homes. We are growing rapidly and building a vertically integrated operation that includes home construction and a new finishing materials supply business with a future design showroom. We are looking for a talented and hands-on Interior Designer to join our team and help shape the look and feel of our homes.
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Interior Designer / Design Selections Coordinator to lead interior finish selections for our new construction projects. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys both the creative side of design and the practical coordination of materials, suppliers, and timelines in a fast-paced homebuilding environment.
As we expand our materials supply business, there will be opportunities for the right candidate to grow into a broader role that includes showroom development and client design consulting.

- Create material boards, mood boards, and design presentations.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors on pricing, availability, lead times, and quality.
- Collaborate closely with the construction team, project managers, and subcontractors to ensure designs are executed accurately and on schedule.
- Research current design trends and recommend new products and materials suitable for the Houston market.
- Maintain design consistency across projects while offering attractive standard and upgrade options.
- Support the future development of our design showroom and materials supply business (product knowledge, client consultations, and operations).
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budgets.

- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SketchUp.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to visit job sites and suppliers across the Houston area.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working with home builders in the Houston market.
- Familiarity with local Houston suppliers and subcontractors.
- Experience in a design studio, showroom, or client-facing design role.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign).
- Bilingual (English + Hebrew or Spanish) – a strong advantage.
- NCIDQ certification or in progress.
