Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble a variety of food items in accordance with established recipes and quality standards
- Operate POS systems
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service at the counter and during food service interactions
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Upsell products to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including bussing tables and cleaning equipment
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed to meet food safety regulations
- Assist with stocking, organizing displays, and managing inventory
- Support team members during busy periods by managing multiple tasks efficiently in quick service or fast-food environments
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation, food service, or retail environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Square
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and quick calculations
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience working in cafes, restaurants, grocery stores, or similar retail environments is advantageous
- Ability to work well within a team and adapt to changing priorities during shifts
- Must be able to work weekday shifts with flexibility for various hours as needed
