Job Summary
We’re looking for an energetic and attentive Food Runner to join our lively restaurant team. In this role, you’ll be the vital link between the kitchen and our guests, ensuring that food reaches tables promptly, accurately, and with a smile. Duties
- Deliver hot and cold food orders from the kitchen to guest tables efficiently and accurately.
- Assist in setting up tables and clearing dishes to maintain a clean and welcoming dining area.
- Support the kitchen staff by communicating special requests or dietary needs from guests.
- Ensure all food items are presented properly and adhere to quality standards before delivery.
- Help with basic food preparation or plating when needed, following safety guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness of service stations, including bussing tables and sanitizing work areas.
- Collaborate with servers, hosts, and kitchen staff to provide seamless guest service experiences.
Skills
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is a plus but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and guests.
- Knowledge of food handling safety practices and proper sanitation procedures.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is beneficial.
- Experience with banquet service, catering, or hotel operations can be an advantage.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette.
