ATHLETIC COMMUNITY COACH
QUALIFICATIONS: 1. A minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent
2. Must be a community member that possesses advanced
knowledge of a certain sport or program based on previous or
advanced coaching experience.
3. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the board may
find appropriate and acceptable
REPORTS TO: Athletics Director
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to support the Head Coach of the program
Ability to be an active member of the Athletic Staff
Build Teamwork/Leadership capacity in student athletes
Comply with GHSA rules and regulations
Ability to assist in the functioning of a successful program
Provide instruction
Assess and encourage student progress
Manage the learning environment
Comply with state and system level regulations and policies
Comply with rules of the Professional Standards Commission code of ethics for
educators
Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or immediate supervisor
