Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Diesel Service Technician or Diesel Mechanic to join our team! As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be required to perform all aspects of repair and mechanical work on diesel equipment (including heavy duty equipment) and trucks with attention to detail.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair.
· Perform preventative maintenance.
· Maintain detailed records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles.
· Adhere to an inspection procedure checklist.
· Clean equipment and tools to ensure they are always kept in safe and usable conditions.
· Keep an accurate log of all work performed.
· Adhere to company work safety policies.
· Be able to reference and comply with all federal, state, and local regulations that affect service operations.
· Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested by the Manager.
Required Skills and Abilities:
· Minimum of 3 years of experience as Diesel Mechanic.
· Experience working on heavy duty equipment required.
· Must have own tools.
· Comfortable using mechanical and electrical power tools.
· Superior teamwork.
· Attention to detail.
· Strong organizational skills.
· Must pass a pre-employment background and drug screening.
· Physically fit to operate and lift heavy equipment.
· Must have reliable transportation.
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: Competitive pay depending on experience
Schedule:
· 40+ hours per week, Monday through Friday, Saturday possible, overtime probable.
