About Big Air
At Big Air, we're more than just a trampoline park-we're a place where families make memories, friends celebrate milestones, and guests come to have an incredible experience. Every interaction matters, and every member of our team plays a role in creating an environment that's safe, welcoming, and fun.
Everything we do is guided by our three Core Values:
Safety – We put the safety of our guests and team members above everything else.
Fun – We create an energetic, exciting environment where guests and employees genuinely enjoy being here.
Respect – We treat every guest and every teammate with honesty, professionalism, and dignity.
If these values reflect who you are, we'd love to meet you.
About the Role
We're looking for a Kitchen Manager who takes pride in running an organized, clean, and efficient kitchen.
This isn't just about preparing food-it's about taking ownership of an entire operation. You'll be responsible for ensuring the kitchen is clean, well-stocked, food-safe, and consistently delivering quality products to our guests. You'll coach and develop your team, maintain high standards, and continuously look for ways to improve efficiency and quality.
We're looking for someone who notices the little things. Someone who doesn't walk past an empty prep station, an unclean surface, or an inventory issue without taking action. While we can teach our systems and procedures, we're looking for someone with integrity, accountability, and a genuine sense of ownership.
What You'll Do
- Lead the day-to-day operation of the kitchen.
- Train, coach, and develop Food Service Associates to consistently meet Big Air's standards.
- Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety.
- Ensure food is prepared accurately, consistently, and in accordance with company recipes and procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels, place product orders, and maintain proper stock levels while minimizing waste.
- Complete regular inventory counts and help manage food costs.
- Monitor product quality, portioning, and consistency.
- Work closely with the Park Manager and Director of Operations to evaluate menu performance, identify cost trends, and recommend adjustments when appropriate.
- Maintain compliance with all health department regulations and food safety standards.
- Create an environment where accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement are the expectation.
Who We're Looking For
Technical skills can be taught. Character cannot.
We're looking for someone who naturally takes ownership of their work and leads by example. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and committed to maintaining exceptionally high standards every day.
The ideal candidate:
- Leads with integrity and professionalism.
- Has outstanding organizational skills.
- Pays close attention to detail.
- Takes pride in cleanliness and organization.
- Holds themselves and others accountable.
- Enjoys coaching and developing employees.
- Communicates clearly and respectfully.
- Makes sound decisions under pressure.
- Understands inventory management and controlling food costs.
- Looks for opportunities to improve processes rather than simply maintain them.
Qualifications
Required
- At least 1 year of leadership experience in a restaurant, kitchen, hospitality, or similar environment
- At least 2 years of food service experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Preferred
- Experience managing inventory and placing food orders
- ServSafe Food Manager Certification
- Experience leading a high-volume kitchen
- Knowledge of food cost control and waste reduction
