Qualifications:
- High school degree or equivalent
- One-year experience or part-time equivalent working with persons having chemical dependency and/or mental disorders preferred
- Must have a valid California Driver’s License with 4 years of continuous driving experience
- A driving record with no DUIs in the last 5 years
- Current vehicle insurance
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- CPR/First Aid/Water Safety/Food Safety obtained on or before hire and maintain current thereafter
- Must be physically and mentally able to assist in an emergency situation
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to learn and use basic technologies for tracking, documentation and communication purposes
- Strong attention to detail
- Desire to grow professional boundaries
- If in recovery at least one year of sobriety preferred, not required
- Experience in a residential medical facility a plus
Once a conditional offer has been made, both a motor vehicle and criminal background check will be performed
Job Duties:
- Supervise teammates & hold facility responsibilities
- Inventory & ordering
- Lead by example
- Meet the needs of the resident, family, and treatment team through effective communication, coordination, and documentation
- Treat all residents, visitors, and staff with courtesy
- Maintain a supportive and safe environment for residents
- Enforce adherence to program policies and procedures
- Model professional boundaries with residents and staff
- Convey a professional attitude by demonstrating an interest in the organization with a welcoming, empathic, hopeful attitude
- Demonstrate self-awareness of and ability to work through attitudes that negatively affect performance, including personal reactivity
- Attend in-service trainings
- Ability to demonstrate respect for cultural and lifestyle diversities of residents and staff
- Aid residents in attending all scheduled clinical services on time and encourage participation
- Drive residents to offsite appointments, meeting, and activities
- Assist kitchen staff in preparation for resident meals
- Prepare continental breakfast on a daily basis
- Be a presence on the floor and during meals ensuring adequate monitoring
- Medication observation/refills/counts/audits/discontinuation as needed
- Record vitals as needed
- Perform rounds and daily room searches
- Resident intake/discharge
- Resident urine drug screenings and/or breathalyzer
- Utilize electronic medical record to record shift change reports and communication
- Oversee daily completion of checklists of duties and maintain accurate records
- Follow the treatment team directives on any therapeutic goals
- Provide additional assistance to the treatment team as needed
Job Type: Part-time/Full-time
Schedule:
- NOC 11PM-7:30AM
- Weekend Availability is a must as we are open 24/7
Compensation: $20-$22/Hourly (Part-time & Per Diem roles available too)
