Before You Read Further…
This is NOT a traditional administrative position. Previous construction industry experience is REQUIRED.
We’re seeking an experienced construction professional who has previously worked for a General Contractor, Remodeling Company, Home Builder, Commercial Contractor, or Specialty Trade Contractor.
If your experience is limited to general office administration outside the construction industry, this position is likely not the right fit.
About Premier General Services
Premier General Services is a growing general contracting company serving the Dallas-Fort Worth area. We specialize in commercial projects, residential remodeling, home additions, insurance restoration, outdoor living, and much more.
Our mission is simple: deliver exceptional workmanship, honest communication, and outstanding client experience while building lasting relationships with our customers, employees, and trade partners.
We’re looking for an experienced professional seeking a long-term opportunity to grow with a company that values ownership, accountability, professionalism, and doing things the right way.
This position begins part-time during onboarding, with the intention of transitioning the right candidate into a full-time position with increased responsibility and long-term growth opportunities as they demonstrate ownership, reliability, sound judgment, and the ability to manage increasing responsibilities independently.
We believe skills can be taught, but character cannot. We’re looking for someone with integrity, a strong work ethic, humility, and a genuine desire to contribute to something bigger than themselves. If you’re simply looking for your next job, this probably isn’t the right opportunity. If you’re looking for a place to build a career and grow alongside a company, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll work closely with the owner, helping coordinate the day-to-day operations of a growing construction company.
This is a fast-paced role where priorities change throughout the day. Success requires strong organizational skills, sound judgment, adaptability, a sense of urgency, and the ability to consistently follow through on commitments.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Answering company phones and providing professional client communication
· Managing emails, calendars, appointments, and daily follow-ups
· Organizing project files, contracts, permits, inspection reports, invoices, receipts, and documentation
· Assisting with estimates, proposals, scopes of work, change orders, and purchase orders
· Tracking project budgets, expenses, job costs, and client invoicing
· Coordinating subcontractors, vendors, material deliveries, and project schedules
· Working with city permitting departments and coordinating inspections
· Following up on outstanding tasks to keep projects moving forward efficiently
· Supporting daily business operations while helping improve internal systems and processes
· Assisting with occasional marketing initiatives such as project photos, Google reviews, website updates, and social media content
We’re Looking for Someone Who…
· Has previous construction industry experience (required)
· Understands construction terminology and project workflows
· Naturally takes ownership instead of waiting for constant direction
· Can prioritize urgent issues and adapt as construction schedules change
· Is highly organized and follows tasks through to completion
· Communicates professionally with homeowners, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, architects, engineers, and city officials
· Maintains confidentiality and represents the company professionally at all times
· Wants to build a long-term career with a growing company—not simply move on to the next opportunity
