STRIVE is a non-profit organization based in South Portland that assists tweens, teens and young adults with intellectual disabilities. The cornerstone of the STRIVE program is STRIVE Night. STRIVE Night is a program offering teens and young adults (ages 15-24) with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to have fun and interact with their peers on a weekly basis.
We are currently seeking a part-time Support Staff to support our participants to have a good time and socialize! The hours will be Friday nights from 6-9:00 pm. This position could be combined with another program in the agency to make for a full-time position if the successful candidate is interested. High school diploma or equivalent is required and we will provide all necessary training!
$1,500 Sign-on Bonus!
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
- Creating a safe & welcoming environment for all who attend
- Flexible, friendly & understanding of our clients & their needs
- Facilitate activities when needed
- Model and facilitate appropriate interactions/relationships between clients
- Make sure everyone is safe/accounted for
