Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Concrete Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality concrete finishing tasks that bring construction projects to life. Your expertise will ensure smooth, durable, and visually appealing concrete surfaces, contributing to the overall success of our projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, from commercial developments to renovation projects, while adhering to safety standards and best practices.
Duties
- Finish concrete surfaces by smoothing, leveling, and shaping freshly poured concrete using hand tools and power tools such as trowels, floats, and screeds.
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to accurately follow specifications for formwork, rebar placement, and concrete pouring procedures.
- Install formwork and rebar according to construction plans, ensuring proper alignment and stability before pouring concrete.
- Operate concrete mixers and concrete pumping equipment to facilitate efficient pouring processes on-site.
- Perform concrete cutting, caulking, stucco application, and plastering tasks as needed for renovation or heavy-duty construction projects.
- Maintain safety protocols by adhering to construction workplace safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of hand tools and power tools.
- Collaborate with carpenters, project managers, and other tradespeople to ensure seamless execution of construction plans while managing heavy lifting tasks safely.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working on construction projects with a focus on concrete finishing, formwork construction, rebar installation, and related tasks.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of tools such as hand tools, power tools, concrete mixers, saws for cutting concrete, and other heavy equipment.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately for precise execution of tasks.
- Knowledge of construction estimating principles and understanding of blueprint specifications is a plus.
- Familiarity with construction workplace safety regulations and the ability to implement safety protocols consistently.
- Experience with heavy lifting techniques and the operation of concrete pumping systems is desirable.
- Construction site experience in renovation or new build environments demonstrating adaptability across various project types.
- Basic carpentry skills including formwork construction and caulking are advantageous.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting and standing for extended periods while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $35.00 - $55.00 per hour
