Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide individual, couples, and family therapy sessions employing modalities such as psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, DBT, and EMDR.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies to manage acute mental health emergencies effectively while ensuring patient safety.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and coordinate case management plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
- Maintain accurate medical records and document all patient interactions in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
- Engage in clinical research initiatives to enhance treatment approaches and contribute to the advancement of behavioral health practices.
- Offer specialized counseling services addressing PTSD care, addiction counseling, grief counseling, chronic pain management, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
- Facilitate intake assessments for new patients, ensuring thorough understanding of their history and presenting issues.
- Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver remote therapy sessions while maintaining high-quality patient care standards.
Skills
- Extensive experience in psychotherapy techniques including CBT, psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy.
- Proficiency in motivational interviewing and crisis management to support patients through challenging situations.
- Strong background in outpatient mental health services.
- Knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9 & ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and familiarity with medical terminology related to behavioral health.
- Ability to conduct diagnostic evaluations for mental health conditions such as PTSD, depression, anxiety disorders, and substance use issues.
- Experience in hospital or outpatient clinic settings with a focus on patient care and medical records management.
- Skilled in social work principles, case management strategies, behavior management techniques, and group therapy facilitation.
- Competence in crisis intervention tactics for managing acute mental health episodes effectively.
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance standards to ensure confidentiality of patient information during all aspects of care delivery. Pay: $70,000.00 - $93,600.00 per year
