American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical ICU (SICU) position at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Springfield, IL, working 3x12 night shifts with floating required.

Work setting is a 562-bed acute care hospital designated as a Level I Trauma Center and Magnet facility
-
Assignment is in the Surgical ICU (SICU)

Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts (18:45–07:15)
-
Every other weekend is required
-
Floating is required for all travelers, within scope to other ICUs or affiliate hospitals nearby
-
Charting is done in Cerner
-
Parking is available at no cost with a permit obtained during orientation

Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction

Active Illinois (IL) RN license required
-
Active certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS — AHA or Red Cross accepted; RQI AHA cards are not accepted
-
Minimum 1 year of SICU or ICU experience required

SSN and DOB required for consideration

First-time travelers will not be considered for this position

Former permanent or PRN employees of the Memorial Hospital System must have been separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler

Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays

RTO of up to 5 days is generally accommodable; requests beyond 5 days require facility approval

Scrubs may be any solid color

Travel pairs are not accepted at this facility
