Job Title: Part-Time University Librarian

In this role, you will support students, faculty, and researchers in navigating digital and physical collections, conducting academic research, and developing information literacy skills. Key Responsibilities
- Reference & Research Support: Provide high-quality research assistance to students and faculty through virtual reference channels.
- Information Literacy & Instruction: Conduct library orientation sessions and assist with classroom instruction on research methods, database navigation, and citation management.
- Collection & Resource Navigation: Assist patrons in utilizing online academic databases, ejournals, institutional repositories, and physical collection stacks.
- Circulation & Reporting: Oversee standard desk operations during scheduled shifts, including borrowing services, resource reserves, and helping the university to maintain a welcoming learning space. Assist with library record management and reporting for licensing, strategic planning, and accreditation.
QualificationsRequired:
- Education: Master’s degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS / MLS) from an ALA-accredited institution (or current enrollment in an accredited MLIS program near completion).
- Experience: Previous experience working in an academic or research library setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with library management systems (LMS), academic databases (e.g., EBSCO, JSTOR, ProQuest), and discovery tools.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with a strong customer service orientation.
Pay: This will be a 1099 contract position.
Pay: $1,000.00 per month
