Your expertise in Special Education ensures that each child receives the individualized support they deserve. You'll collaborate with dedicated teams and caring paraprofessionals to foster a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching Certification (appropriate for Texas)
- Prior experience working with students with diverse abilities, preferably in a Life Skills or functional special education setting
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement IEPs
- Strong communication skills with parents, administrators, and related service providers
- Adaptability and proactive problem-solving attitude
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging instruction based on student IEPs and individual needs
- Cultivate a safe, inclusive environment promoting independence and life skills
- Collaborate with team members to support instructional and behavioral interventions
- Provide differentiated instruction with patience and creativity
- Assess student progress and communicate effectively with families and staff
