Position Summary
As the Festival Concours Coordinator, you will serve as the behind-the-scenes conductor for our marquee weekend events. You will ensure that Car Owners, Vendors, and Staff are efficiently loaded in, fully set up, and seamlessly supported as their primary point of contact.
Reporting directly to the Festival Director, you will manage Concours relations and site logistics at the Telluride Golf Course Driving Range in Mountain Village. Your mission? To provide steadfast operational and communication support throughout the weekend, creating an unforgettable, world-class experience for our participants, guest speakers, and festival attendees.
Key ResponsibilitiesFriday, September 25, 2026 (Setup Day — Time TBD)
- Infrastructure Management: Meet on-site with the tent vendor to guarantee the stage and all event tents are erected in their precise, designated locations.
- Asset Quality Control: Inspect all tables and chairs to ensure they are in pristine condition and properly placed.
- Facilities Check: Verify that portable restrooms (porta-potties) are fully serviced, stocked, and ready for operation.
Saturday, September 26, 2026 (The BIG Day!)
- Vehicle Load-In (7:00 AM Start): Oversee the early morning vehicle arrival process. Ensure all event signage, staff, and volunteers are stationed perfectly to guide car owners into their exact display spots.
- Staff & Volunteer Management: Direct and deploy your assigned team of volunteers and staff members efficiently across the venue footprint.
- Vendor Operations: Greet and guide vendors to their specific tents or display areas. Ensure all vendor transport vehicles are promptly moved out of the exhibition space and into designated parking.
- Security & Vendor Liaisons: Ensure the event security team arrives right on time and is properly briefed. Serve as the point-of-contact for event judges and guest speakers to accommodate their on-site needs.
- Ticket & Merchandise Tent: Verify that the ticketing and merchandise areas are fully stocked with cash drawers, ticket systems, inventory, and attendee materials. Assist with physical setup as required.
- Stage, Audio, & Awards: Assist staff and volunteers with the main stage configuration. Confirm that audio/visual systems are tested and functioning flawlessly. Ensure all awards are beautifully displayed by midday and assist with the winner announcements at 2:00 PM.
- Load-Out & Strike (3:00 PM): Safely coordinate the orderly exit of display vehicles and vendors. Assist the tent company with the efficient teardown and load-out of tents, staging, tables, and chairs.
- Site Restoration: Lead the final sweep of the entire venue area. Ensure all trash is collected and removed, leaving the driving range in immaculate condition ("better than we found it").
Requirements & Qualifications
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think on your feet and manage fast-paced event logistics calmly.
- High physical stamina for a demanding, hands-on outdoor event day.
- Automotive knowledge or an enthusiasm for classic/luxury cars is a major plus! (++)
