We are looking for a professional, energetic, and team focused Director of Member Engagement.
Responsibilities include strategic direction in developing and overseeing Member retention and growth, benefit plans, vendor management, enrollment, well-being programs, and communications. This includes management of all aspects of Member Services including Group Relations, Member Care, and Communications staff. You must be highly organized, have excellent communication skills, and superior management abilities.
Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in business, education, human resources, public administration or closely related field with at least 10 years of experience of progressive management experience. Strong competence in a variety of technology programs including MS Outlook 365, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat Pro is essential. Other important qualifications include an understanding of labor/management relations in collective bargaining, excellent presentation skills, and ability to regularly travel throughout NH.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
I. Member Services
- Responsible for day-to-day operational effectiveness of the Member Services Team including reviewing, developing, and implementing services and tools to enhance productivity, workplace and services to Members and Participants.
- Supports Member Services in solving escalated issues with internal and external products, services and programs.
- Responsible for overseeing marketing and communication strategies.
- In collaboration with the Group Relations Specialists, maintains continuous contact with public entities through presentations and various correspondences.
- Maintains accurate record of all current Member and prospective activities including calls, presentations and follow-up activities.
- Oversees Group Relations staff in submitting detailed data to independent underwriter and actuary for pricing to present to potential new Membership.
- Prepares all final pricing recommendations for sign-off by the Executive Director.
- In collaboration with Group Relations staff, creates and conducts effective proposal presentations and Request for Proposal (RFP) responses.
- Develops Member Services annual objectives consistent with the Board approved Strategic Plan for presentation to Associate Executive Director and Executive Director.
- Develops and implements benefit programs and related services to meet the needs of Members (current and prospective) and Participants.
- Responsible for increasing visibility throughout the state and developing relationships with all public entities through outreach, presentations, exhibits and regular contact.
- Prepares and presents health care cost containment strategies, wellness techniques and resource materials for Members, Participants and affiliated organizations to meet local needs and available resources.
II. Operations
- Active Leadership Team member who participates in and contributes to Leadership Team, Board and Committee Meetings.
- Keeps Executive Director and Associate Executive Director informed about Member Services activities, challenges and opportunities.
- Monitors and analyzes Member Services operations to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Plans, develops, and facilitates changes in procedures, practices, workflows, assignments and equipment needs through recommendations to Associate Executive Director and Executive Director.
III. Personnel Management
- Leads, manages, coordinates and provides direction to the Member Engagement Advisor, Group Relation Specialists, Member Care and Communications Staff that collectively comprise the Member Services Team.
- Hires, trains and maintains a collaborative climate which attracts, retains and motivates.
- Identifies opportunities for cross-training to support fluctuations in workloads and employee professional growth.
- Performs annual evaluation of each Member Services Team staff member, including establishing annual goals and objectives and monitoring progress to enhance professional development.
