If yes, bring your talent and skills to F.E. Moran! We have an opportunity in the greater Chicagoland area for an experienced Project Engineer, HVAC. You will design, plan, organize, draw and coordinate Design/Build projects while meeting cost, quality, equipment, and safety objectives.
About You:
- EDUCATED: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from accredited school of Engineering; possess or be in the process of obtaining Professional Engineering License
- KNOWLEDGEABLE : Comprehension of engineering/design documents and illustrating mathematical skills
- EXPERIENCED: Previous experience in HVAC design and construction services
- A COMMUNICATOR: Effective verbal and written communication skills
- PROFICENT: Display analytical, technical, and creative thinking skills
- SELF-STARTER: Demonstrate time-management skills; successfully work on multiple projects and meet deadlines
What You’ll Do:
- PRODUCE: Design HVAC systems (ductwork, piping, controls, etc.) for Design/Build projects
- DRAWING: Utilize Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD to draw design documents for permit & construction
- CALCULATE: Calculate heating/cooling loads, basic structural point loads, and expansion/contraction in piping
- ADAPT: Utilize problem-solving skills to resolve complex engineering and design problems
- KEEP TO CODE: Ensure compliance of all designs with applicable codes, standards, and regulations
- COLLABORATE: Work with a team of engineers, project managers, estimators, sales, and field to meet project objectives
