Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Receive, inspect, and sort surgical instruments and medical devices for sterilization readiness
- Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, and drying machines following manufacturer guidelines
- Maintain accurate inventory records of sterile supplies and equipment using inventory management systems
- Ensure all instruments are properly cleaned, disinfected, assembled, and packaged according to aseptic techniques
- Verify the functionality and integrity of sterilized instruments before distribution to clinical staff
- Adhere strictly to infection control protocols and safety standards during all processing activities
- Document sterilization cycles, maintenance logs, and quality control checks meticulously
- Collaborate with clinical teams to fulfill instrument requests promptly and accurately
- Assist in inventory replenishment and supply management to prevent shortages
- Participate in ongoing training on sterilization procedures, medical terminology, and anatomy knowledge
Requirements
- Prior experience in sterile processing or surgical instrument management preferred; entry-level candidates with relevant training are encouraged to apply
- Strong understanding of sterile processing techniques and aseptic procedures
- Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology relevant to surgical instrumentation
- Familiarity with medical terminology used in hospital or clinical settings
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and documentation practices
