The Assistant Manager is responsible for helping drive sales, delivering an exceptional customer experience, leading the sales team, and ensuring daily store operations run smoothly. This role acts as a leader on the sales floor, supports the Store Manager, and helps create a positive, high-energy environment that reflects the Scout & Molly's brand. You will also be working with our Marketing manager to ensure Social Media is updated in all aspects online while also being the model and face for Scout & Molly's.
Key Responsibilities Sales Leadership
- Meet and exceed individual sales goals.
- Help the store achieve monthly sales goals.
- Build and maintain relationships with top customers.
- Drive clienteling efforts including texting, calling, and event outreach.
- Encourage add-on sales and increase average transaction value.
Team Leadership
- Coach and motivate sales associates.
- Help onboard and train new team members.
- Maintain a positive and accountable team culture.
- Lead shifts and make decisions in the absence of the Store Manager.
Store Operations
- Ensure visual merchandising standards are maintained.
- Help process shipments and merchandise efficiently.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs and markdowns.
- Maintain store cleanliness and presentation.
Marketing & Events
- Support store events and trunk shows.
- Assist with social media content creation.
- Encourage customer engagement through loyalty programs and text marketing.
- Model new inventory that comes in.
Success Metrics
The Assistant Manager will be evaluated on:
- Store sales performance
- Personal sales performance
- Units per transaction (UPT)
- Customer retention/clienteling activity
- Team development and coaching
- Store presentation standards
Ideal Candidate
- 2+ years retail leadership experience.
- Strong sales and styling ability.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Self-motivated and results-driven.
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
- Comfortable using social media and clienteling tools.
- Organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
