Position Overview
The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is responsible for implementing individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs under the supervision of a BCBA. The RBT works directly with clients to improve socially significant behaviors, including communication, social skills, daily living skills, and behavior reduction.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) developed by the supervising BCBA
- Provide direct one-on-one therapy using ABA techniques (e.g., Discrete Trial Training, Natural Environment Teaching)
- Collect accurate and timely data on client progress and behavior
- Assist in skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs
- Maintain client dignity, confidentiality, and safety at all times
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding client progress, concerns, and barriers
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and supervision sessions
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Current RBT certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe)
- Ability to pass background check and meet state requirements
- Reliable transportation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder or other developmental disabilities
- Familiarity with ABA principles and techniques
- Experience in clinical, school, or home-based settings
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, and move quickly
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds if needed
- Ability to respond to challenging behaviors safely (e.g., blocking, redirection)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $23.50 per hour
