Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support access activity, respond to alarms and/or site concerns, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Job Schedule:
What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and other security-related policies at a government location.

Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, and communicate with supervisors and/or emergency services when appropriate.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.

Monitor entry points, verify credentials when required, and document visitor, employee, and contractor activity in accordance with post orders and reporting procedures.

Prepare clear and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and observed conditions, and support Allied Universal management and/or site personnel with security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:

A current New York State Security Guard License is required.

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.

Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.

Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
