Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
- Handle food preparation tasks, including assembling sandwiches, pastries, and other café offerings
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards across all work areas, adhering to proper food handling procedures
- Manage cash handling duties with accuracy, including cashiering and balancing registers at shift end
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging warmly with guests, taking orders, answering questions, and resolving concerns promptly
- Support inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness throughout your shift
Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista or in the food service industry with strong coffee knowledge
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks in a busy environment
- Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell menu items naturally and confidently
- Exceptional customer service skills that create welcoming interactions for all guests
- Knowledge of food safety standards, proper food handling, and basic math for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced café or retail setting
