Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on ABA principles to support clients’ developmental goals
- Assist children with activities of daily living (ADLs), including hygiene, dressing, and communication skills
- Collect and record accurate behavioral data during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments
- Collaborate with supervising behavior analysts to ensure adherence to care plans and ethical standards
- Use positive reinforcement techniques to promote desired behaviors and manage challenging behaviors effectively
- Communicate regularly with families about progress, strategies, and behavioral management techniques
- Maintain confidentiality of client information in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children, especially those with autism or neurodevelopmental disorders, is highly preferred
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management, and special education practices
- Ability to assist with ADLs and implement behavior therapy protocols in a home setting
- Strong skills in data collection, medical terminology, and maintaining detailed medical records
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and ethical guidelines outlined by the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to client homes
