Pay Range: $16.50 – $20.00 per hour
Compensation is based on proven experience, skillset, and references.
- Work location: Porto Cima property (3 kitchens on-site)
- Schedule based on availability
- Weekly hours will determine part-time or full-time status
References and verifiable experience are required for competitive wage consideration.
Position Summary
Back of House team members support daily dining, events, and seasonal service by preparing high-quality food in a fast-paced, professional kitchen environment. Ideal candidates are dependable, hardworking, and take pride in their craft.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to chef recipes and standards
- Assist with plating, buffet setup, and service execution
- Prep ingredients: washing, chopping, slicing, portioning
- Set up, stock, and maintain clean workstations
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and FIFO standards
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Support line cooks and chefs during busy service periods
- Maintain organization, cleanliness, and teamwork throughout the kitchen
Qualifications
- Kitchen or food prep experience preferred (training available for the right candidate)
- Must be able to correctly execute verbal and written instructions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-heat environment
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Flexible availability (mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays)
- Positive attitude and professional appearance
