Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced CVOR Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) for a 16-week travel contract. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cardiac, vascular, endovascular, and thoracic procedures and be comfortable working in a high-acuity surgical environment.

- Shift: Days – 6:30 AM–7:00 PM
- Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts
Requirements
- Current BLS certification
- CSFA, NBSTSA, or NCCSA certification accepted
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- Strong experience in:
- Cardiac
- Vascular
- Endovascular
- Thoracic procedures
- Experience with CVOR procedures
- Heart transplant experience highly preferred
- Ability to float within scope of practice and to the Main OR as needed
- Must successfully complete the required privileging process prior to the start date (approximately 3 months)
Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons during complex cardiovascular and thoracic procedures.
- Provide first-assisting support during cardiac, vascular, endovascular, and thoracic surgeries.
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field and surgical instruments.
- Assist with procedures such as:
- CABG
- Aortic aneurysm repair
- EVAR/TEVAR
- Carotid endarterectomy
- Femoral-popliteal bypass
- TAVR
- Mitral valve replacement
- Vascular and endovascular procedures
- Support transplant-related procedures when applicable.
- Maintain strict infection-control and sterilization standards.
- Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia providers, and other members of the surgical team.
- Adapt to changing surgical schedules and departmental needs.
Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour
