Innovative Driven is seeking qualified candidates for long-term project assignments (up to 4 years) as a Law Clerk supporting the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) Victim Compensation Fund. The Law Clerk I must be able to perform complex legal research for the trial staff, assist in preparing draft legal documents (e.g, motions, briefs, memoranda of law, etc.) reviewing documents for relevance and privilege, and assist attorneys with all phases of litigation. The Law Clerk I staff will work under the direction of a Project Manager/Supervisor and in collaboration with lead support from DOJ.
Specific Job Description for this position:
- Experience in reviewing, evaluating, and analyzing claims, with the ability to apply established criteria to determine legal sufficiency.
- Experience in analyzing and organizing documents for supporting evidence and determining mechanisms to perfect insufficient claims.
- Strong Excel skills with experience using complex workbooks.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, including experience working with the public (claimants) and with external attorneys (claimants' legal representatives).
- Excellent research and writing skills, demonstrated experience working with complex statutory and regulatory schemes, and flexibility and creativity in the application of existing policies.

Pay: Base rate is $38.77/hr & H&W $5.09/hr up to 40 hours.
