Position: Estimator I
The Estimator I will learn how to prepare equipment quotes for commercial, industrial, and institutional construction projects. This position will be ultimately be responsible for preparation of the quote including reviewing construction plans and specifications, performing quantity takeoffs, coordinating with manufacturers, and assembling accurate and timely quotes. Training will be provided.
Position Responsibilities
- Manage material and equipment quotes for assigned projects in a fast-paced environment
- Review plans and specifications to understand project scope and requirements
- Perform quantity takeoffs for select air conditioning equipment
- Solicit pricing and relevant information from manufacturers
- Coordinate with engineering and sales teams to develop accurate estimates
- Maintain organized project documentation and quote records
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Ability to read and understand complex written materials, plans, and specifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
- Consistently punctual with a strong sense of urgency
- Ability to work effectively in a computer-intensive role
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required
- Experience with Bluebeam and estimating software preferred (training provided)
