Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center is seeking experienced Certified Surgical Technologists (CSTs) for a 13-week travel assignment in Mattoon, Illinois. Candidates must have strong Orthopedic OR experience along with General Surgery, Neuro, Vascular, GYN, Urology, and Da Vinci robotic surgery experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Scrub and assist with a broad range of surgical procedures in the Operating Room.
- Provide strong Orthopedic and Total Joint surgical support.
- Support General Surgery, Neuro, Vascular, GYN, and Urology cases.
- Scrub Da Vinci robotic procedures and other minimally invasive cases.
- Prepare and maintain sterile instruments, supplies, and surgical equipment.
- Perform surgical counts and maintain aseptic technique and sterile field.
- Collaborate with surgeons, RNs, anesthesia, and other OR staff to ensure safe patient care.
- Participate in required call coverage.
Requirements
- 2+ years of CST/OR experience required.
- BLS required.
- Strong Orthopedic experience required.
- Experience required in:
- General Surgery
- Neuro Surgery
- Vascular Surgery
- GYN
- Urology
- Da Vinci Robotics
- Prior travel experience required.
- Must be comfortable working 4x10-hour day shifts.
- Must be available for 5–6 call shifts per month.
- Travel candidates only; locals within 50 miles are not accepted.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong high-volume OR experience.
- Extensive orthopedic/total joint experience.
- Da Vinci robotic surgery experience.
- Ability to work independently while supporting a multidisciplinary surgical team.
Schedule Details
- 4x10-hour day shifts
- 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- No set day off.
- 40 guaranteed hours per week
- 5–6 call shifts per month
- No floating required.
- 13-week travel assignment.
