Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook breakfast items according to established recipes and menu specifications, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, ovens, poaching stations, braising pans, and food production appliances.
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures diligently to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment.
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new breakfast dishes or improvements based on customer feedback and industry trends.
- Handle food with care, adhering to proper food handling techniques to prevent contamination.
- Support dietary department needs by preparing specialized meals or accommodating dietary restrictions with precision.
- Maintain high standards of knife skills, food presentation, and portion control during meal preparation.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in breakfast or brunch settings.
- Proven culinary experience with skills in grilling, braising, poaching, and general food preparation.
- Familiarity with food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures required for high-volume production.
- Experience working with dietary departments or catering services is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of food industry standards, recipe adherence, and operating various kitchen equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.
