Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using proper dishwashing techniques and sanitizing procedures to uphold food safety standards.
- Clear tables promptly by bussing dishes, silverware, glassware, and trash to maintain a clean and inviting dining space.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as organizing supplies and handling ingredients following food safety management protocols.
- Support the kitchen staff by handling manual tasks like heavy lifting of supplies or equipment and maintaining cleanliness in food prep areas.
- Follow all food safety regulations related to food handling, sanitation, and hygiene to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, restrooms, and kitchen spaces through regular cleaning routines.
- Assist with catering or banquet setups when needed, ensuring timely service during special events.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
- Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and proper dishwashing techniques.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in cleaning and food safety practices.
- Basic knife skills or culinary experience is a plus for supporting food prep activities.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- A positive attitude with excellent teamwork skills to support busy restaurant operations.
