Overview
A well-established south suburban law firm is seeking an Executive Legal Assistant to support the firm's Managing Attorney. This position combines executive assistant responsibilities with a primary role in managing commercial real estate transactions from opening through closing.
Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as the principal processor and file manager for commercial real estate transactions.
- Prepare and draft transaction documents, perform data entry, track deadlines, coordinate title clearance, and communicate with clients and other parties throughout the transaction.
- Work directly under the supervision of the Managing Attorney to ensure timely and accurate handling of all matters.
- Serve as the Managing Attorney's liaison with the firm's residential real estate, corporate, probate, and estate planning departments.
- Maintain the Managing Attorney's calendar, schedule appointments, triage communications, and assist with task delegation.
- Attend weekly department meetings with the Managing Attorney.
Qualifications
- Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including a professional and client-focused demeanor.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior real estate experience is preferred but not required to be in commercial real estate.
Position Details
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (in person)
- Salary: $55,000–$60,000 annually, commensurate with experience
- Benefits: This position does not include employer-sponsored health insurance.
