Position Overview
We are seeking an outgoing, professional, and compassionate Community Outreach & Client Relations Coordinator to help grow our non-medical home care agency throughout Northern Virginia. This individual will serve as the face of our company by building relationships with healthcare professionals, presenting our services to potential clients, attending community events, and generating new referrals.
The ideal candidate is confident speaking with seniors, families, healthcare professionals, and community organizations, has excellent communication skills, and is passionate about helping older adults remain safe and independent at home.
Contract Length: 3 Months (with potential for extension)
Location: Northern Virginia (Local travel required)
Schedule: Flexible (Part-time Contractor)
Primary ResponsibilitiesCommunity Outreach & Business Development
- Build and maintain professional relationships with:
- Hospital case managers
- Social workers
- Discharge planners
- Rehabilitation facilities
- Senior living communities
- Assisted living facilities
- Independent senior communities
- Physicians' offices
- Geriatric care managers
- Community organizations
- Schedule and conduct in-person visits with referral sources.
- Present company services in a professional and knowledgeable manner.
- Represent the company at health fairs, senior expos, networking events, and community events.
- Distribute marketing materials and educate the community about our services.
- Develop long-term referral partnerships.
Client Outreach
- Make outbound phone calls to prospective clients who inquire about our services.
- Follow up with leads in a professional and compassionate manner.
- Answer basic questions regarding our home care services.
- Schedule free in-home consultations.
- Maintain detailed notes on all client interactions.
- Follow up with prospective clients as appropriate.
In-Home Consultations
- Visit prospective clients and their families when requested.
- Professionally introduce the agency and explain available services.
- Educate families on care options.
- Answer questions regarding private pay and available programs.
- Gather preliminary information for the agency owner or care coordinator.
- Maintain a compassionate and consultative approach.
Marketing & Networking
- Attend networking events and represent the company professionally.
- Identify new referral opportunities within the community.
- Help organize community presentations.
- Assist with promotional activities.
- Help strengthen the company's reputation throughout the community.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Document all outreach activities.
- Track referrals and follow-up activities.
- Maintain an organized contact database.
- Submit weekly activity reports.
- Communicate regularly with the agency owner regarding business development efforts.
