Overview
Seeking a highly experienced and qualified construction project manager to join our team and manage high quality custom residential projects.
We are a regional construction company specializing in high quality new ground-up residential construction, whole house renovation and light commercial work. The majority of our work takes place in southeastern CT and southwestern, RI.
Qualifications
- 10 + years of residential construction management experience. Extensive experience managing and overseeing all trades.
- Extensive experience reading and review of architectural drawings, structural plans and creating material take-offs for estimating.
- Deep understanding of high quality construction, best practices and a strong commitment to producing a top notch finished product.
- Strong communication and written skills.
- Strong analytical skills to perform troubleshooting and problem solving of typical job site challenges.
- High level of custom finish carpentry expertise and ability to communicate design and processes with carpenters working on site.
- Highly organized, detail oriented and motivated to promote a positive and cohesive work environment.
- Ability and experience managing projects from preconstruction phase to ground breaking to final completion and maintaining project schedule and deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Review architectural and construction plans, prepare take-offs for estimating. Review shop drawings and construction specifications. Work with suppliers to source and order material.
- Perform onsite daily construction management and assist with office management of projects. Maintain daily logs.
- Create and execute project schedules
- Coordinate job site meetings with owners, architects, structural engineers.
- Analyze and troubleshoot job site challenges and architectural details.
- Daily management and scheduling of all job site trades.
- Monitor project costs.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials considering lead times and potential cost increases.
- Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress, quality control, and adherence to construction schedules; address issues promptly to prevent delays.
- Promote a positive, safe and collaborative work environment.
Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
