Location: Calabasas, CA (private residence)
Schedule: Part-time, three days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday)
Meals: Lunch and dinner

About the Role
We are looking for a skilled private chef to prepare fresh lunches and dinners three days a week at a private residence in Calabasas. The focus is French and Mediterranean cooking, built around the best possible ingredients: quality flours, olive oils, produce, cheeses, and breads, including imported specialty items sourced from Europe. If you take pride in cooking made-to-order meals from excellent ingredients, we would love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Plan and cook fresh lunches and dinners on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
- Build menus rooted in French and Mediterranean cuisine
- Source and select premium ingredients with a focus on freshness and quality
- Source imported specialty ingredients, including French and Mediterranean flours, oils, cheeses, and breads
- Cook meals fresh rather than batch prepping ahead, so everything is made to order
- Adjust menus over time around taste preferences
- Keep the kitchen clean and organized, following proper food safety standards
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a private or personal chef, or in a French or Mediterranean kitchen
- Experience working in a high-profile or private household, with an understanding of the professionalism and discretion it requires
- Strong knowledge of French and Mediterranean dishes and ingredients
- Experience sourcing and importing specialty foods, including familiarity with suppliers, importers, and the logistics of bringing in ingredients from abroad
- A real eye for ingredient quality and freshness
- Reliability, professionalism, and discretion in a private household
- Ability to work independently and manage your own prep and shopping
- Culinary training or certification a plus
Pay: From $75.00 per hour
