Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories.
- Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols, including IV infusions and immunizations.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth to document patient care activities thoroughly and efficiently.
- Assist with diagnostic procedures like catheterization, suturing, phlebotomy, and specimen collection while maintaining strict aseptic techniques.
- Manage acute pain through appropriate interventions and coordinate complex care plans involving trauma medicine, ICU protocols, or emergency response procedures.
- Provide patient education on health coaching topics such as medication management, nutrition, chronic disease management, and post-discharge care planning.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver specialized care in areas like cardiology, ophthalmology, infectious disease care, geriatrics, behavioral health, or neonatal resuscitation procedures.
Requirements
- Valid nursing license (RN) in good standing with relevant state licensing boards.
- Proven experience in diverse healthcare environments including hospital medicine, emergency medicine, ICU or Level I/II trauma centers.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner; experience with ICD-10/ICD-9 coding is preferred.
- Critical care experience or ICU background strongly preferred; familiarity with ventilator management and airway management techniques is essential.
- Ability to perform advanced skills such as IV insertion, venipuncture, tube feeding management, ostomy care, and sterile processing procedures.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and medical documentation accuracy.
- Strong physiology knowledge combined with excellent patient assessment skills across pediatric to geriatric populations.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays is a plus; familiarity with hospice & palliative medicine or Workers' compensation law is advantageous.
