Medical Laboratory Courier – Military Base Access Required

Pay: $22.00 per hour
Expected Hours: 10–30 hours per week
Additional Compensation: $100 weekly vehicle/fuel allowance

Covered By Love Inc. DBA CBL Enterprises is seeking dependable, experienced medical laboratory couriers to transport specimens and related medical materials throughout Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Northern Virginia.

Responsibilities
- Complete assigned medical-courier routes safely and on time.
- Pick up and deliver laboratory specimens, blood, tissue, body fluids, pharmaceuticals and medical supplies.
- Transport dry ice and temperature-sensitive materials when assigned.
- Enter military installations and medical facilities using approved access credentials.
- Maintain specimen chain of custody.
- Protect confidential patient and medical information.
- Maintain required specimen temperatures and cold-chain integrity.
- Complete pickup, delivery and proof-of-delivery records.
- Immediately report delays, accidents, spills or damaged specimens.
- Follow all HAZMAT, HIPAA, OSHA, military-installation and facility procedures.
- Remain available for the assigned weekday, Saturday or on-demand schedule.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Current 49 CFR HAZMAT certification covering Category A and Category B infectious substances and dry ice.
- Current DBIDS, RAPIDGate or equivalent military-base access credential.
- Medical, laboratory, pharmacy or specimen-courier experience.
- Current HIPAA training.
- Current OSHA bloodborne-pathogens training.
- Knowledge of medical-specimen handling and chain-of-custody procedures.
- Valid U.S.-issued driver’s license.
- Clean and safe driving record.
- Reliable sedan, SUV or crossover with adequate cargo capacity.
- Current automobile insurance that permits business or courier use.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Smartphone with dependable voice, text, email, GPS and camera access.
- Ability to safely handle dry ice, formalin, alcohol-based materials and biological specimens.
- Ability to pass applicable military-installation background and suitability screening.
- Professional appearance, strong communication and dependable attendance.
Vehicle Requirement
The courier must provide and operate a reliable, clean and properly insured personal vehicle. The vehicle must safely accommodate medical specimen containers and maintain appropriate interior temperatures.
Schedule
Routes may operate Monday through Friday, Saturdays or on an on-demand basis. Individual assignments are expected to average 10–30 hours weekly. Applicants must clearly identify their available days, hours and preferred shift.

Important
This position is contingent upon CBL Enterprises receiving the government contract award. Applying does not guarantee placement. Applicants who cannot provide the required HAZMAT certification, military-base access, driver’s license, suitable vehicle and insurance documentation will not move forward in the selection process.
