Role Overview
The Director of Marketing, Communications and Design provides strategic leadership for brand development, integrated marketing, public relations, content, and creative execution across Summit & Speed properties and experiences, including the Singer Driver’s Club. This role is responsible for building cohesive campaigns that drive awareness, audience growth, engagement, and revenue while ensuring brand standards, storytelling, and visual identity remain consistent across all channels, events, and stakeholder touchpoints.
What You’ll Do
Brand Strategy & Integrated Marketing Leadership

Lead the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies that support company priorities, event promotion, ticket sales, partner value, and long-term brand growth.

Translate business goals into multi-channel campaigns across paid, owned, earned, and experiential platforms, ensuring alignment between brand positioning, audience targeting, and performance objectives.

Oversee annual marketing calendars, launch plans, campaign priorities, and promotional sequencing to maximize visibility, efficiency, and cross-functional coordination.

Steward brand architecture, messaging frameworks, and visual identity standards to ensure a clear, differentiated, and consistent market presence.
Communications, Public Relations & Content Leadership

Set communications strategy across media relations, executive communications, partner communications, social media, email, and owned content channels to strengthen brand reputation and audience engagement.

Lead storytelling, editorial planning, and message development for campaigns, events, announcements, and brand moments, ensuring content is accurate, compelling, and aligned with company priorities.

Manage media outreach, press materials, interviews, and public-facing communications in collaboration with internal stakeholders, agencies, and event leadership.

Provide guidance on sensitive or high-visibility communications, helping maintain message discipline, brand integrity, and a professional external presence.
Design Direction & Creative Production

Lead the creative development process for brand campaigns, event collateral, signage, digital assets, presentations, video support, and partner-facing materials across all business lines.

Review and approve design concepts, copy direction, and production outputs to ensure quality, consistency, accessibility, and adherence to brand standards.

Manage internal creative resources and external agencies, freelancers, photographers, and production vendors to deliver work on time, on budget, and at a high standard.

Drive continuous improvement in creative workflows, briefing practices, asset management, and production planning to support a fast-moving environment.
Team Leadership, Budgeting & Cross-Functional Operations

Lead, mentor, and develop marketing, communications, and creative team members while establishing clear priorities, performance expectations, and collaborative ways of working.

Own departmental planning, budgeting, vendor oversight, and resource allocation to ensure effective execution and responsible use of marketing and production spend.

Partner closely with events, partnerships, operations, finance, and executive leadership to align communications, promotions, sponsor deliverables, and operational realities.

Track campaign and channel performance, summarize results, and use data-informed insights to refine strategy, improve outcomes, and support decision-making.

Work Conditions

Primarily office-based work requiring prolonged periods of sitting, standing, speaking, listening, and frequent use of manual dexterity and computer-based tools.

Requires attendance at events, site visits, content shoots, and meetings that may take place indoors or outdoors and outside normal business hours.

Requires event related travel outside of the office location.

Non-smoking environment inside property buildings; smoking is permitted only in designated areas.

Professional and Technical Knowledge

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Design, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Significant progressive experience leading integrated marketing, communications, brand, or creative functions, ideally in events, hospitality, lifestyle, consumer brands, or related environments.

Demonstrated success developing brand strategy, leading campaigns, managing cross-functional teams, and translating creative vision into measurable business results.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to shape messaging for executive, partner, media, and consumer audiences.

Strong brand, campaign, editorial, and creative judgment with the ability to evaluate work for clarity, quality, and strategic fit.

Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and common marketing and creative tools; experience with Adobe Creative Suite, project management platforms, analytics tools, email marketing systems, and content publishing workflows is strongly preferred.
